CHILDREN...OUR MOST PRECIOUS NATURAL RESOURCE" April is Children and Youth Month and I want to hear from you. What program did your squadron support? Did you hold a fund raiser for The American Legion Child Welfare Foundation? Help out at Poppy Shop? Work one of the many Special Olympics events? Was this the month that you promoted The American Legacy Scholarship Fund? Speak up now, tell about what you have done to promote "Child Safety" Have you promoted the McGruff Safe Kids Program, or educated teens of the dangers of drug abuse? Was the problems child abuse or teenage suicide addressed? Write and brag about your "Family Preservation" activities such as Temporary Financial Assistance, Operation Military Kids, The Family Support Network, Day Care Safety, or what you have done about missing children. I especially want to hear from members about "The Children's Miracle Network". I not only want to hear about what you have done for CMN, I want to hear from members and their personal stories. Write now to DOCBILL@neo.rr.com and tell about how a Children's Hospital has helped you. CONSOLIDATED SQUADRON REPORTS CONSOLIDATED SQUADRON REPORTS CONSOLIDATED SQUADRON REPORTS I can not say this enough. It is your responsibility to complete the Consolidated Squadron Report. This is your annual report of expenditures and activities of your Children and Youth activities plus so much more. This one report form gives you the opportunity to report not only your Children and Youth activities, but also every Americanism and VA&R program which you have worked so hard on this year. The Consolidated Squadron Report goes farther then just a report of your activities. Your Detachment and National Organization uses the information to compile an accurate report of all Sons of The American Legion programs. Make what you do matter. Report it
